About SCART Technology
SCART (Syndicat des Constructeurs d'Appareils Radiorécepteurs et Téléviseurs) was the European standard for connecting audio-visual equipment from the 1980s to 2000s. This 21-pin connector provided superior RGB video quality compared to composite or RF connections, making it essential for gaming consoles, VCRs, and satellite boxes across Europe.
The SCART connector could carry RGB video signals, composite video, stereo audio, and control signals all through a single cable. This simulator recreates the authentic experience of adjusting picture settings and dealing with signal interference that was common during the era.
